報(bào)告題目：Using Thermophysics Approach to Tackle Energy Storage Challenges

報(bào)告簡(jiǎn)介：

The combination of energy shortage and climate change is one of the most complex challenges the world, as a whole, has had to face. The next 50 years is a vital period for human civilization and it is imperative that we revolutionize the way we produce and store energy and incorporate renewables as our primary source of energy. This talk will provide a snapshot of the future of the sustainable energy landscape and identify several game-changing technologies that will facilitate the widespread deployment of renewables. In particular, we will highlight our recent advances in fuel cell, lithium-air battery and redox flow battery technologies achieved through an interdisciplinary approach that combines thermo-fluids science and electrochemistry. The scientific issues and practical challenges pertaining to fuel cells and advanced batteries will be discussed, with a particular emphasis on how the challenges can be addressed in a collaborative manner.

主講人簡(jiǎn)介：

趙天壽，香港科技大學(xué)工程及環(huán)境學(xué)冠名講席教授、機(jī)械及航空航天工程系講座教授(Chair Professor)、香港科大能源研究院院長(zhǎng)、香港科大高研院資深學(xué)人、美國(guó)機(jī)械工程師學(xué)會(huì)(ASME) Fellow、英國(guó)皇家化學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)(RSC) Fellow、國(guó)家級(jí)高層次人才。曾獲Croucher資深研究成就獎(jiǎng)、兩次國(guó)家自然科學(xué)二等獎(jiǎng)、香港科大工程學(xué)杰出研究成就獎(jiǎng)。入選2014、2015、2016、2017全球高被引科學(xué)家和最有影響力科學(xué)思想名錄。

趙教授長(zhǎng)期致力于工程熱物理及新能源領(lǐng)域的基礎(chǔ)與應(yīng)用研究。在微納流動(dòng)與傳熱、電池儲(chǔ)能理論、以及燃料電池和液流電池等電池儲(chǔ)能技術(shù)研發(fā)方面取得了系統(tǒng)的創(chuàng)新性重要成果。在國(guó)際權(quán)威學(xué)術(shù)期刊發(fā)表SCI論文332篇，SCI引用12,000余次，h因子62，37篇論文為ESI高被引論文，3篇論文獲Elsevier高被引論文獎(jiǎng)(Most Cited Article Award)。出版英文專著5部、中英文專著章節(jié)9篇。受邀在美國(guó)機(jī)械工程師學(xué)會(huì)、國(guó)際可持續(xù)能源技術(shù)等重要國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議上作主題/特邀報(bào)告69次。在國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)界，趙教授擔(dān)任國(guó)際期刊Applied Thermal Engineering主編、英國(guó)皇家化學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)系列叢書Energy & Environment Series共同主編、Science Bulletin執(zhí)行主編，并擔(dān)任包括Energy & Environmental Science (影響因子29)、Journal of Power Sources等10個(gè)能源與化學(xué)類權(quán)威國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)期刊的顧問(wèn)編委。
